What it means for job seekers
- Language matters: most roles at a Spanish factory will need good Spanish. Galician is a plus.
- EU citizens can work in Spain without a permit. Non-EU workers will need an employer willing to support a work permit.
- Technical training counts: vocational qualifications in mechanics, electronics or welding fit these roles well.
- Defence is hiring across Europe: similar plants are opening in Poland, Germany and the UK.
Defence and aerospace hiring is strong in Europe, as shown by Pratt & Whitney's new plant in Rzeszow, Poland. You can also read about the EU Talent Pool platform for non-EU jobseekers.
