Deere says it has made around 1,000 recall offers since 2024. It describes the latest staffing increase as a way to be ready to meet customer demand under different conditions, including future labour negotiations.

The new roles are in industrial and parts distribution operations, so expect openings such as:

What it means for job seekers

  • Manufacturing is hiring in the Midwest. Deere joins other big employers adding factory jobs this year.
  • Apply early. Recalls and new hires happen over a few months, so the first applications are often reviewed first.
  • Highlight hands-on skills. Welding, forklift and assembly experience are valuable for these roles.
  • Foreign applicants: most hourly factory roles require existing US work authorisation, so check each listing.
