Hiring in the UAE picked up again in the third quarter of 2026. The Cooper Fitch Gulf Employment Index, reported on 20 October 2026, shows UAE hiring rose 4% from July to September, the strongest gain of the six GCC countries.

The rise reverses a 4% fall in Q2 2026, when the regional conflict slowed recruitment. Cooper Fitch's founder and CEO, Dr Trefor Murphy, described the result as a solid recovery and pointed to an 8-point swing in hiring volume between the two quarters.
